From what I've read, I like lionfish too and have considered one, they are reef safe in that they won't pick on coral, but they will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. So if you have any shrimp as part of your cuc or small reef fishes they would be in danger of becoming dinner! I might be wrong, but that's my understanding of lions in a reef. Hope this helps!

The links I gave you in your other thread will tell you which species stay on the smaller side. Basically, as long as they can't fit a fish/shrimp in their mouth, they won't eat it.
