low ca and low mag?

I have tested my water a couple of times in the last 48 hrs using sailfert test kits. The tank is at best guess a 120 gallons of total water volume. My ca is at 360 ppm and mag is at 1180. I dose b-ionic 2 part for ca and alk and tech m for the mag. I used the reef calculator to see how to get them back up to acceptable levels and here are the results

Calcium 360 to 420 using kents turbo calcium 15 tsp.

Do I mix this with ro water and add it to my sump? If so how much water should I use to mix it ? Can I add it all in 1 day?

Mag 1180 to 1350 using tech m 37.3 fl oz.
How much can I add in 1 day?

Is one more important to correct first? Meaning should I correct Ca first or Mag first? Can I do both in the same day?

I'd probably add the calcium in two shots, but 60 ppm in one shot is fine. Just add enough RO/DI to dissolve the powder. The exact amount isn't critical.

I would target at most 100 ppm per day for the magnesium. Magnesium and calcium can be dosed together. The order doesn't much matter, in this case.

rbursek I use Tropic Marin Pro salt. I have never tested my water change water before but, I plan on doing it tomorrow.

I think my problem came from when my ato dump an extra 15 gallons of ro water into my sump. I should have tested the water when it happened.

Agree, trusted RC salt, then the thread on low Ca and Mg, thought I was doing something wrong, I do 20% every 2 weeks and then would have to Turbo boost, even though I drip Kalk, I was pulling my hair out, get Ca to 420, do a water change and it was in the 300's. This Forum rocks as well as Randy, Jonathan, and a few others!!!!!!!!!!!

hows your alk level? since the alk is the other part of the bionics two part I would check that also. For the first two months that I used the two part I had to bring up my alk level also every 7-8 days until I found the right dose of two part

I was testing my alk along with other test. It was at 10.9 almost everytime I tested it. My ca,alk, and mag had always stayed pretty much the same. Like I said the extra fresh ro water pumped into my sump must have threw the ca and mag. That's just a guess though.
