2 questions
first of all what kind of thermometer does everyone use? I was thinking of getting one with a probe, can they stay in 24/7?
secondly I just got 2 plastic 45g tubs.... my plan is to fill them with RO/DI water, would it be okay to mix one with salt and use that for water changes? |

i use a digital thermometer it even has a alarm if temp gets too low or high, it was around 40$ and the battery must be good at all times or the reading is off and as far as the tubs i use 2 and one is saltwater and the other ro, if i ever need a emergency water change i add salt and do my change, knock on wood that has not happened yet. i let the saltwater sit sometimes for 2 weeks with a heater and a tunzi for movement
