coralife ss65 vs. odyssea ps75
Ok so far I had my coralife ss up for about 3 weeks and still no skimmate...the stuff in the collection cup is a cloudy white color...my wife has the the water level in the skimmer to about the top where it pulls in a little bit of the milky water She swears it is working properly but I beg to differ...we have tried moving the pump closer to the water, ran a small airpump into the venturi and no of this made no difference...i feel it is garbage IMO
So I am going to buy a odyssea ps75 to see how this compares since the skimmer is inexpensive and the more I read abut the remora the less and less I am steering away from it. Any input on the situation at hand? |

If you don't have much of a bio-load.... than don't expect much skimmate. What's your stocking list?

I have a royal gramma, yellow watchman, cleaner shrimp, pistol shrimp, big black urchin some snails and hermits and about 50lbs LR...and since I added the coralife ss65 my nitrate may have went up! It was at 25ppm before the skimmer with just 2 aquaclear 30s and now it is at 50ppm! I do weekly water changes of 20%...so I am not skimping on those.
