tempature drop

i have a 60g.i went on vacation this weekend and when i got back my temp was in the sixties,60-62.my parameters other than the temp(now)were great when i left.after finding my tank last night when i got in,i heated the tank back up overnight.its back at 79.my fish ate this morning and dont seem any worse for the wear.the frogspawn came backout but the scolymia does not look well, open mouth excreting waste.shrunken.the shrooms are still shriveled and the gsp have not come back out. i thought maybe there woulb be a ammonia spike but it seems fine after testing this morninig.will the scoly recover?gsp?or should i just count the losses?thanks for any advice.

You probably raised the temp a little too quickly but hopefully everything will be fine. I havent had that sever of a drop but have gone from 80 down to 68-69 and everything was ok.

I'd say the most likely casualty would be the scoly. Keep the parameters good, the temp stable and see if maybe you can get him to eat in the next day or 2 and hopefully he will recover.

I have a scoly that sucked up, lost its color and wouldnt feed for a good 2-3 months. One day he finally decided he was hungry and puffed up. After a few weeks of feeding he was back to normal. They're pretty tough so hopefully everything will be ok.

Yeah, dont mess with him or touch him. You dont wanna stress him out even more. Give him some time and good conditions and hopefully he will be ok.
