Alright so heres the deal on sunday i did a water change like normal did everything i used to do. i have got a forgspawn coral and some small green zoas... 2 clowns a shrimp and a sailfin tang... so when i was done i notcied that there was something wrong with one of my frogspawn cause it was closed and like 5 tenticles where sticking out... everything in my tank was open, but as well the other forgspawn was open but not quite as big as usual. my parameters are good, but my nitrates are at like 14 but its been that way for the 9 weeks ive had it setup... so i dont know what the deal is with the small forgspawn, on the verge of death. i didn't touch him or do anything to him.

When i did the water change after i was finished i added a new filter sock to my sump as well...

You have quite a bit of things for only having a one month old tank.

However, the coral is probably closed because of the water change. Mine do that

its been 9 weeks, sorry didn't update my stuff

and also there is alot of green algea on the rocks and glass, will this go away with time???

It's still a lot for a new tank in general. Tangs are a dirty fish which is half the problem with algea

Algea comes from excess nutrients. Every tank has some form of algea. Most people add a type of macro algea to help get rid of nutrients. New tanks always go through a period of it. Water changes help greatly!

alright cool, when do you think a set time period for a tank to start adding coral and nice things?

over 12 weeks?

Usually I let it sit with rock and such for 2 months then I add one fish every few weeks (2 or 3 weeks) Once things are going good, then I add coral. Patience is key, although I admit I've pushed it too
