Salt Mixes
I have my tank set up and used Instant Ocean salt mix for the first pass.
Wondering what salt mix you reccomend for a reef tank? Or if there is really a difference? I was looking at the Reef Crystals instead this time around. I know you are supposed to use a consistant salt mix and I dont plan on changing like this every pail, but if Reef Crystals are better for a reef tank then the Instant Ocean stuff then now is the time to switch. Opinions?

You'll get a million and one opinions on this question. I personally use Instant Ocean, but there are many acceptable choices.
I discuss selecting salt mixes here: The “How To” Guide to Reef Aquarium Chemistry for Beginners, Part 1: The Salt Water Itself http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-03/rhf/index.php

There is a couple threads in the Chemistry Forum on salt coparisons that are good reads.

I use a mixture of Tropic marin Pro and Reef Crystals. Works really well for me but, I still have to add Mag.
