Saltwater Shelf Life

Well this probably is a question most will laugh at but I really don't know the answer. Will saltwater go bad?

I planning on using a plastic 55 gallon drum to do my water changes. In order to completely drain the barrel I would need to tilt it or dump it by hand. My plan is to leave some in the barrel and then top off the barrel with RO/DI water so it will be ready for next water change. Should I have any concerns about leaving and partially mixed solution in the barrel for 4 to 5 weeks?

it will be fine as long as it is covered well.
