PVC overflow question

I have a 75g DT with a 30g thats going to be a sump. I want to use the PVC as a type of coast to coast overflow that has been discussed here before. I like the low profiile of it and the (apparent) ease of construction. My question is:

What size of pipe should I use for the overflow and what size bulkheads?

I was originally going to do this on a 37g and use 1", but found a great deal on the new 75 and wanted to concentrate on that instead.

I'm building them for my 125, and have done some research... the consensus is that 2x 1" is good for ~1,500gph (and that's what I'm doing) I think you'd be safe with a 1x 1", but there are lots of advantages to running 2 of them. I'm not exactly sure what size you would use for that. Of course a lot of it depends on your other equipment/stocking list/etc.

There are people a lot more knowledgeable than I am about this, but I know these threads move fast so I figured I'd try to contribute something! Good luck.

ok, thanks

I have the hole saw to be able to cut the holes for 1" bulkheads already so I will probably just start there.

I just wasnt sure if it would be better to go to like a 1.5" overflow and hten reduce it down to 1" through the 2 bulkheads or do like 1.5" bulkheads. I am beginning to think that the 2 1" bulkheads with 1" overflow will work well enough though. I can always change it I guess if I need to, and it would be easier to go larger rather than smaller I would think.

Thanks for the bump though
