attack of the copepods!!!
do u think copepods can kill a green star polyp frag?
i seen a couple on the frag a few hours ago and was just wondering because the polyps havent been out in about 5 days... your help would be great!! |

No, they won't kill your GSP.
Done any water changes lately? What are your parameters?

No they are great for a tank.Something else sounds like it is going on, have to done something different lately? How long have you had them?

they are under 80w pc fixture.(1 40w 10000k and 1 40w actinic) in my 10 gallon tank.
params: amm- 0 ite- -0 ate- 0 phos- 0 DKH- 7 (possible reason? i know thats a little low) calc - 500

Where do you keep your salinity? 1.025-1.026?
Are they on the bottom of your tank or near the lights?

salinity is at 1.025 and they are in the middle of the tank, almost directly half way between the sand bed at water line.

Were they doing fine in that location for a while?
I think I'd move them up a bit closer to the lights.

Sometimes GSP seem to "take a break".
It seems like they go through a big growth spurt for a while and then rest. That may be what yours are doing. It doesn't seem like there is anything too wrong with your tank parameters so I wouldn't suspect anything there. I think I'd just give them a while and see if they don't open back up and give you another growth spurt.
