emergancy wrasse question!!!

I had lost a cleaner wrasse. Been 2 - 3 weeks now. I have a carpenters flasher now and I fed every body last night and it just vanished? I was thinking jumper, NO. Looked around the rocks, I have a chromis that is normally in a hole and was out more than normal, still no wrasse. Tonight I found him near the sand in a hole and is moving a little should i move the rock to get him out. he has been there for a full 24hr. I put a little more food in to see what would happen and he never came out.
WHAT SHOULD I DO???

wrasse tend to hide in new enviornments. If he doesn't come out after 3 days, then he's probably dead. A whole day is not that long.

If you had a hawaiian cleaner wrasse, then those usually don't keep very well anywya. they feed off of mucus and other bacteria living on other fish.

You can try. they like to dig a hole in the sand and stay there. THe only way i've been able to catch wrasse is by waiting until they come out.
