Question re: JBJ 28 HQI cube, JBJ nano chiller and pump

I just purchased the cube, chiller, chiller installation kit and pump. I was told to use Rio HF10 but only can manipulate it to sit horizontally with return straight up under filter basket. However, basket doesn't seat all the way down with pump there and sits higher ~3/4-1 in. Additionally, there is so little room left in there that when trying to remove basket it fiddles with u tube and dislodges it from pump at times. Fortunately, I haven't shot myself in the foot by filling first to find this problem after the fact. Is anyone using chiller with cube? What pump are you using and where (what chamber) are you placing pump in? thanks in advance.

I am using the JBJ 1/15 chiller and using a MJ1200 to push through it. I have the kit pushing to the chiller using the U-shaped tube and back in the tank using the S-shaped tube that is connected to the normal return on the left side. In other words I am not using an 'extra' powerhead for the chiller.

I have put a koralia nano on the left side and put it on the wave maker with my other MJ1200 going through the right-hand return since after pushing through the chiller there is not much flow returning to the tank. However, it more than enough for the chiller to work.

Do you have the 28G HQI nano, and if so what did you do with the JBJ Accela that came with the tank for that left chamber? Couldn't you have just used that pump, being that it's rated at 266 GPH to push water to chiller. And by using the Koralia, which I guess you have mounted in the actual tank, aren't you still using an extra powerhead? I just want to make sure I understand you. I appreciate your response and input and not trying to argue. I spoke with a tech from JBJ this afternoon and they said I had the wrong PH, it was to big and to strong as the chiller rates a pump of 166 GPH. They said to use their SP1-400 (I think that's what it is) and it will fit over the Accela provided in either chamber.

Yes, this is a 28g HQI. Yes, the Accela should work. However, I am a MJ1200 bigot. That is all I have ever used. The Accelas are in a box if a replacement is needed.

As for an extra powerhead, what I meant was I did not put an extra power head in the back chambers for the chiller.
