We had a clown trigger for several months and all was well. The fish was healthy and eating well. Earlier this week, a friend of my daughter was scraping the (20 gallon) tank with one of the magnetic scapers and busted the thermometer glass bulb and glass and the fluid entered the water. I was not home and by the time I discovered the issue, the clown trigger had died. Tank has tested well for nitrates and amonia and we had no issue up to this point. Is that fluid in the thermometer enough to kill the fish?

Red thermometer fluid may contain kerosene, anti-freeze or alcohol (http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasc...1/gen01583.htm).
