new refugium

I have a question if i add a refugium will it cause my tank to go thru a small cycle?
I would prob have to get a cpl small pieces of lr and some more ls.

No it will not, unless you add uncured live rock.
You don't need live rock or live sand, just a macro algea.

I dont think it would... Small chunks of liverock is like adding a new fish to the system. Your filtration will adjust.
