yellow chaeto?
I have a 13" 24W 12K PC light over some chaeto in my fuge. The top part of the chaeto is yellow and under is green. Is this a problem? It's growing like crazy.

Same thing happens in mine, is the top yellow part exposed or under water? What kind of flow do you have, if detritus is sticking to chaeto it sometimes turns whitish-yellow

yep its exposed. The top is not completely submerged. I have one Rio 400 and a mini jet 606 set to max flow in a 20L sump the actual fuge part is about 12 inches long.

Sounds like its just growing to much like mine just take you the crud on top enough so that whats in there has enough room to grow

Rotate and pull the chaeto apart every few days and trim back as needed.
