Oxygen tanks into CO2 ??
I tried posting on eqt. forum but no answer.
Are Oxygen tanks easily converted into CO2 tanks? Thanks |

No i think each gas requires different bottles because of there flammability like CO2 is not as bad as O2.

You will get a hard time when getting it filled because the DOT rating will be for O2. You will also have to replace the valve with a CGA320 stem.
I would call praxair or a company that deals with both gases and ask about exchanging it. If the tank is stale (Hydro test date) is older then 5 years, this will also cause problems. |

The connectors are different, and should never be changed. They are different just so that the wrong gas is never put into an unsuitable tank.
