Unhappy Dead Fish Question

Hi All,
I woke up this morning to find one of my Green Chromis (I know not an expensive fish but still one of my crew) laying dead on the bottom of the tank. He didn't look as if he had been beaten up or anything... Any ideas what I should keep on the lookout for?

PH 8.2
Alk 11
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 20
Salinity 1.026

Also maybe unrelated or not my skimmer started acting up and is skimming so wet that it's practically just water that's getting drawn out of it. Could this be related? Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Andrew

Its very common with chromis to have the lead chromis kill of the weakest chromis - common reason why people who start off with a shoal end up with one or two.
