Reccomend good test kit for Alk and Magnesium

My lfs had nothing for testing these right. The redsea mg test says high, med low. Don't I need numbers?

Also what does Carbonate Hardness KH really test for. I have the api one, but not sure what its for.

Thanks
Dave
