I need to know soon so i can know if i need to buy different sand or not...

Are you stirring the sand with the powerheads?

The sand is fine, its normal for the dust to collect and get trapped. The sand should have rinsed out first. You will just have to wait until it all clears.

I guess we should also ask, what kind of sand did you add?

I added water rock and sand, in that order, all the first day. The sand will settle once it starts to colonize with bacteria.
