Whats easier a dual chambered calcium reactor or a kalk reactor to keep your PH @ 8.4

Kalk reactors tend to increase ph and calcium reactors tend to lower ph.
A dual chambered calcium reactor should keep effluent stable though.

So why do you want to keep pH locked in at 8.4? (Just asking out of curiosity) pH swings naturally anyway, doesn't it? Is there a reason to keep it that high?
I do use a dual chambered reactor. My pH hasn't been affected yet, but my consumption rate isn't that high yet either so we'll see.

I use a cal reactor and I think its the way to go. It will take a few weeks to get it ajusted perfectly but then its home free.

If the ph doesn't go under 8, you're fine. You shouldn't need either to keep ph correct. It would just be putting a band-aid on the problem. If the band-aid falls off(run out of co2, etc...), you're gonna run into issues. I don't have a problem with reactors to aid in coral growth, but they shouldn't be needed to keep ph in check. If anything , the kalk reactor may help compensate for the low ph of RO if nothing else is being done(which it should be) to balance it. JMO.
