I don't know of any links but I did a pretty good mod on my CSS125. I gutted all the parts inside and add a Sedra 2500 needlewheel as a recir pump. I sawed off the plastic intake to hook up a Maxi 400 as a feed pump. Took a little while to dial in since I didn't put a gate valve on it and that little red knob is horrible to work with. Once set though it pulls out nice black sludge. All you need is a pump, a couple of uniseals and a good rotary tool.

There are no detailed steps on this thread, but it seems everyone replaces the flexible output tube. I actually got the same model you have for free from a relative that got out of the hobby. I am going to put a gate valve and pvc on the output. I also have been reading that it is very important not to have the feed pump too far under water. I have mine about 5" and most keep it less than 3' under the waterline in their sump. I am also going to make a little stnd and lift my pump up. I'll let you know how it works. I will be doing that tonight or tomorrow. Do you have the needle wheel version? You can also try the mesh mod or fishing line mod on the meedle wheel.
