Tbs
Quick question to those that have seen, used TBS sand before. What size would you consider it? I have used it before and it is mixed in size, but would it be considered a CC?
My 22 cube had oolic in it, and it was to small. If i sneezed it went everywhere! My new 75 I am planning I am currently planning on doing a 100% TBS tank, and I'm just wondering should I not get the sand, and use other stuff? I am planning on a shrimp gobie pair so I need some substrate with okay sized pieces in it so they can build the tunnels. Anyways, enough rambling. Let me know your thoughts!

I have an all TBS tank, the live sand Richard provides is coming from the bottom of the ocean, so it contains various sizes of sand granules including broken up shells and such. Dont think it would be considered CC though. I orderd the TBS package so the sand was included in the price, and it would definitely be suitable for creatures who tunnel into the substrate.
Ive had great success with all of Richards stuff, however I have heard some horror stories of his sand containing pods, the bad kind. But then again, someones always gonna have a horror story about whatever your using which as you know is not always the case.

I have used him quite a bit, and I have gotten the bad pods before, but was able to remove them with ease, and did ever have a problem again with them. The only tank I used his sand in originally had cc in it, and I pulled most of it out, but I don't really remember what was CC and what was his..
Speaking of the bad pods does anyone remember how long your tank has to be fish free for them to die off?
