coral question

Is there an online resource for corals, ref lighting, etc.

I just got a frogspawn frag, and it looked good for 2 days, and now looks like it is heading downhill. I have it in moderate light.

I would like to look up different corals, and know where to place them in my tan when i get them.

If you are having problems with a frogspawn I would post on the lps forum also I have always found the best information from more experienced hobbyist on this site. What are your tank parameters, and lighting, having moderate light is a very relative thing to say. What other corals are you looking to purchase?

the lighting is 2 250W MH. I have the frogspawn low, and it is kinda shaded by another rock, and I thought I would slowly increase the light.

It looks like it is going downhill because when I brought it home it was very full and puffy. Now it is smaller, looks like it is shriveling up, and just not looking good. It loks like it is wilting? I will get a water test again tomorrow and post.

Thanks

it likes medium to high light and moderate flow.
this is a good coral to experiment with because it tells you when it is happy but what you are observing
Every three days or so move it up the reef a couple of inches till you get it opening again

Thanks, that really helps. I assumed it was not getting enough light, but I did not want to shock it.

i noticed mine don't like to really fully expand unless it is in high light but low flow.

Wha I ment by an online resource is a website where I can look up different corals, see what they look like, see what they need for light, flow, etc. I have seen good books with this, but they are about $65. I thought maybe there was a similiar website?
