Tropic Marine Pro Reef mix VS their regular salt mix

What is the main difference between these two mixes? I currently use the Pro Reef and have been happy with it but it says it designed for use with Kalk. I do not dose with Kalk, so should I still use it? Could I save some cash and buy the regular mix with the same results?

I am not aware of the differences, but I also cannot see how a salt mix could be designed, or not, to be used with limewater. So there may be differences, but that one is not worth worrying about.

I think the one that says "use with kalk reactor" is the one that mixes with a lower alk level than the other.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong?

I use Tropic Marin regular and do nightly kalk drips with a dripper

I use TM Pro with a kalk reactor and like the results. When I test mine is has abit lower kH and pH then my old Reef Crystal.

The starting alkalinity of a salt mix should have nothing to do with the ultimate method of alkalinity supplementation that is used with it.

I use the regular tropic marin and in a freshly new mixed vat of saltwater my alk tests at 9 dKH. Which is pretty close to what i keep my tank at which is 10 dKH
