need help to reduce nitrate
please help!!! I wanted to know what's the best way to reduce nitrate other than keeping changing water.

Put in a refugium. That's supose to help. Are you using a wet/dry sump still with bio balls? They make a lot of nitrate. Dont over feed your fish either.

I m going through the same thing in a biocube. I have done a 25% water change. Not sure what else to do.

What worked for me is a sump/fuge with lots of chaeto. Also got the biggest skimmer I could afford and got rid of my bio wheels. Started feeding less and just broke down and did a 100% water change< probaly not to smart but for 7 months my trates have been 0=)

Water source and flow are very important as well as SB condition and tank maintance.
All your tank specs would help from age to stock and all in between. |
