Has anyone used Aqua-Mags successfully.

Especially for prolonged periods.

Ide like to grow out some of my SPS frags on some, maybe even leave them permananetly.

I love them!!
my candy cane garden...

they work great until you knock the bigger corals off...the bigger they are the harder they are to reattach.

Nice BUT will they, or will they not hold up corals as they grow.

I dont care for my GARF Purple bonsai falling from 20" high on my Birds nest Frag.

Scapes- Not only that, but do the magnets appear like they can last years without breaking down and leaching God knows what?

I've had mine for atleast a year, and as far as the actual magnet goes...not any problems.

I had an atleast 3"x3" acropora growing on one really nicely. no problems holding it up. I accidentally knocked it off when I stuck my arm in the tank. Couldn't get it glued back on b/c it was too big.

sooo, it seems to hold up pretty well. gluing a bigger frag is a problem though. something the size of the candy canes I have in the pic are a good size to mount. As you can see, one candy cane is atleast 20 heads. This pic was taken about 3 months ago and it's still going strong.

I"ll take some pics tomorrow of my green millepora growing on one and one of my bigger candy canes. lights are out now....

well, you got me curious as to exactly how many I had. I have 19 magnets w/ stuff on them. 5 magnets w/ nothing on them. so I"ve bought 24.

I have acroporas, candy canes, palys, & even a green polyphed toadstool mounted on them

Thats a good way of getting Xenia and GSP to grow on the sides. Many people like to do that.

Scapes- 19 is a lot more than I would care for. I just want to give my SPS a little more room to grow. Pics!!!

I got some in a local club group buy a couple months ago. I've only mounted one so far with a monti cap and so far so good. The cap is small (3"), but the magnets are pretty powerful for my 29 gallon glass and I would expect they would hold up to quite a large colony. They are completely sealed in epoxy with a nice coating to help it blend in with the environment. I know we ordered 50 in the last group buy and they just recently placed another larger order with repeat buyers FWIW.
