Is Milwaukee pH Probe Junk?

I am new to pH probes - got a Milwaukee one 6 weeks ago for my AcJr, calibrated it, and have not touched it since then. I pulled it out to re-calibrate yesterday and found it had shifted by .4.
Should I be calibrating or cleaning the probe more often or is a .4 shift in 6 weeks normal? Or is a Milwaukee probe just not up to par?

You might try cleaning it to see how much the shift is reduced, but that result seems within reason.

Oh, it's been in the tank in the sump area in the back during that time.

I expect that was a one time correction. I'd be surprised if it was off that much again.

Keep us posted.

I hope so - I pulled it out of the tank again last night, soaked it in a Vinegar/RO solution for 10 minutes and then scrubbed it gently with a toothbrush - put it back in the tank and it read exactly the same as when I took it out. For giggles I calibrated it again, still reading the same when I put it back in the tank.
I'll check it again in a few weeks and see what I get.
