Purple stripe pseudochromis VS Coral Banded Srimp
Someone just gave me a Purple stripe pseudochromis, and I put in imy 30g with a pretty big coral banded shrimp. I read they will eat shrimp, has anyone seen them eat a shrimp of this size?

If its a good sized banded coral shrimp, I doubt he is going to have any trouble defending himself from a pseudo. I dont have one any more because I was afraid of what he would do if he were able to get those big claws on any of my tank inhabitants.

I saw the pseudo nip at one of the shrimps legs, I just didn't know if he would take it any further on such a big shrimp

the CBS will probably defend himself by fighting off the pduedochromis. I think this is the reason they are also known as boxing shrimp
