will I scratch my glass?
I added fine sand to my tank after I already filled it with water which created a super sand storm. It took more than 3 days to clear up. Then, I used a power head to blow off sands on my live rock.... now, another sand storm
There are fine sands all over the glass. I thought about using the MagFloat to clean them off but worry about scratching my glass. Tried power head to blow them off. It worked but create sand storm and cause problem again. What would you do if you were in my shoe? 1. Use MagFloat. 2. Use a paper towel / towel. 3. Get some snails. 4. None of the above - please specify what you would do. thanks in advance. |

I would go to petco and get a glass scraper. I got one for algae and cleans the glass very well.

I do have a glass scraper. Maybe I'll try that. Any chance of scratching it with that?
I've heard turkey baster many times. What is it? |

Pump. And yes you should be able to find one at wal-mart or the grocery store.

if it is silica sand it will scratch the glass due to it having glass in it, if it is Aragonite sand it will not scratch the glass due to it being softer than glass.
