Boiling Fish?!?! Engineer Goby with Issues...
Hi Friends. I got three new fish about a month ago. The Bar Goby went carpet surfing. The Lemon Drop Goby is happy.
And then there's the Engineer Goby. When I first got him he made a home under a rock and disappeared for about two weeks. I thought he had died. Then I started seeing him pop his head out during feeding time. Last week, he started swimming around a bit, and I saw something I have never seen before. He is covered with what I can best describe as bubbles. They start at his gills and go all the way to his tail. He has also gone from black and white to mostly translucent. Other than that, he seems to be relatively healthy. He eats. He swims. He is alive each morning. I finally managed to get some pictures tonight. Have you ever seen anything like this? What is it? |

Its kinda hard to tell from your photos.... Before you upload them you need to knock them down in size...Most digital cams will have the photo at 1050 x 700....resize it to around 500 x 250....It will be much better to see..
Now........ Sometimes when you add fish to your tank, they freak out from the change, they will hide & their color can fade. Its just stress.... As long as he comes out & eats, he's fine... just give him time to get used to the tank

They look like blisters... from what I know (very little) that means a bacterial infection under the skin. Might want to ask in the Disease Forum if you haven't already.

He's about 3 inches long. I'll post over in disease forum, too.
