Snapper/Dart Plumbing Question
Just curious, Snappers and Dart's both have 2" intakes. Is anyone here reducing their input to 1.5" into one of these and have they had any adverse results such as noise?
I'll put my hand up for my snapper with my 1.5 exit from my Sump. Very loud compared to my 2" input of my Dart for my closed loop. Wondered if this could be the root cause. |

Try www.reeflopumps.com
And yes, the instructions are quite clear about always making sure the inlet pipe size is never less then the inlet size of the pump. |

you want to keep the intake at what the pump is set for.If you reduce it the pump be able to pull the proper amount of water it needs to work right and keep cool. You are risking burning out the pump or barrings.
