Cortez Stingray and Bamboo Shark

Can a cortez stingray and a bamboo shark coexist in the same tank, my next move is to set up a rather large predator tank and im thinking these 2 would be great conversation pieces...if they can coexist.

Yeah, I have them together. Just watch out during feeding time, sometimes it will become a frenzy and you should seperate them. Just feed on both sides of the tank to decrease frenzies. What is most dangerous is not the shark's teeth but the ray's barb, though I have never seen my ray use his.

They can co-exist. Just be sure, like any elasmobranch, to give them PLENTY of open swimming space, making only a few caves or reefs for them to hide.

Good luck!

I would advise against it. These are actual photos of the wounds my Round Ray got from my adult Brownbanded.

The shark later took and ate bites from the ray's disk before I separated them for good. The ray did recover and even grew some of the lost tissue back. But the bamboo surely would have killed it if they stayed together.
