Do the Mh slowly over a week to 10 days, maybe 6hrs adayy for the first 3 or 4 then 1/2 increments evety 2 days till you get to 8-9 hrs, monitor your corals for bleaching, and hold of increases or move corals lower if needed.

You can also acclimate using several sheets of screen material, removing a layer each week. 3-4 layers/weeks should be OK. Another option, anyway.

Thumbs up

i used the screen method and removed a layer every 3 days. i started with 6 layers and the first two stayed on 1 day then the next 4 3 days each. my corals all doing well. went from 400w pc to 2 250 w hqi. seems to be good so far . no bleaching or die off
