Who owns a Coralife Aqua Chill Chiller
I bought a used 1 hp coralife chiller and have no way fo testing it for a few weeks. I know it is not good to plug it in without water but I wanted to make sure it works. When I plugged it in the display came on but the compressor did not. Is this normal? There was no buzzing or humming noise at all. The guy also sold me a 215 gallon tank that had an undisclosed hair line crack so I am already sick.

I am also looking to find out how i adapt to the large inlet and outlet down to a smaller connection. The connections on the unit are large male. I found a PVC female reducer but it is very tight to screw on. I didn't want to crack the housing so I stopped. Does this sound right or is there a special reducer?
