The base of the BN might not be getting enough flow.
The tips of the GS look like growth. Leathers IME are silly like that & sometimes close up for a few days. Are you running carbon? You should run carbon when mixing SPS,& leathers.

Hmm maybe I am worring too much. I moved the korilla 2 to point at the BN so maybe it will help.
I am not running carbon. I will have to go get a bag and make it a routine to throw it in.

dont point the korilla directly at the coral it will do more damage, just make sure its getting good indirect flow,& you should be ok.

your coral is going through what you call "tissue deterioration" causes can be from not enough calcium or to much heat try moving your coral down a little bit

I seriously doubt that the lights did that.99% of the time if your lights damage a coral (burn) its on the tips.I didnt wanna get technical in trying to explain what it was that you have going on,but it is called STN (Slow Tissue Neucrosis) Which is like i said originally probably caused by low flow to the base of the coral.Your parameters look ok,so im ruleing that out.
IME birdsnest love light. Just keep an eye on the coral,& if you notice it getting any worse then make plans to start fragging, but IMO it should make a full recovery over time, just try to reposition your flow.

I agree, with the stn comments.I also second the carbon suggestion. Leathers produce alleopathic metabolites which can be harmful to sps particularly if the linger in the area of the sps as might be the case with lower than needed folw. Carbon will remove or at least limit these metabolites. Without it mixed leather and sps tanks may not work out very well.

^^^^ I agree and that is why I eventually got rid of my leathers.

Could it be the BTA? It looks to be centrally located to your problems.

I didnt suggest that because I didnt want to push any opinions that way but it has been there for awhile so I dont THINK so but I am not a expert on the effects of what the BTA would have on corals. They dont touch though.
