Setting up a 35g Eclipse Hood FOWLR tank. Questions!
I picked up this 35g eclipse tank to be my QT tank, but finances have me putting my big tank on hold. I would like to set this tank up, in the meantime, with a couple of small fish that I would intend to move into the big tank. I plan to only have sand and live rock in the tank, as I do not want to spend the money on a lighting upgrade when I don't intend to have this as a DT for more than 3-6 months.
So, I'm hoping some folks utilizing an Eclipse hood could chime in. What additional equipment did you use? Will the hood fit over a HOB skimmer? Am I crazy, or did I see skimmers that actually sit inside the tank? Are those any good? Any other advice?

Correction - it appears to be 37g. It's 30x22x12.
