removing mushroom from rock
hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone on RC can show me how to remove some of my mushrooms attaching on liverock. I simply have too many. thanks

I've heard you can inject them with kalk paste, like an aiptasia.

CHip the rock away. Place in a high flow spot and whene you see then start to detatch it will be easier. Then if you have a fuge then cutting them in 4 pieces the razor them off and reglue untill the regrow.As long as you cut them so they have a piece of there mouth they will regrow. As long as you have most of the foot they will be fine. Good for trading and selling and MB a small frag tank.Have fun with it.

My tank is also overrun with mushrooms. There is no good way to get rid of all of them without either selling all the rock and buying new or removing all the rock and drying it out and killing all the live stuff. I have tried a lot of different things such as kalk paste, joes juice, etc. but they always gro back faster than I can get rid of them. The only real way I have accomplished this is by taking the entire rock out of the tank and completely covering every spot where there is a mushroom and then rinse with RO/DI water. To sum it up THERE IS NO GOOD WAY TO DO THIS!
