How would you plumb it?

Question on plumbing options.

I've got a 210 AGA with 2 standard mega overflows built in, giving me 2x1" and 2x1.5" drains, all of which I plan on using for drainage, not return. I've got a 75G sump ready to be attached, a reeflo barracuda, and an OM 4way. My question is this, would you plumb in a CL with 3 of the four drains, the reeflo and OM4way with the 4th drain feeding and returning from the sump/equipment via another pump? Or would you drain to the sump with a split off of the reeflo somehow?

Trying to work it out in my head prior to plumbing it out for real!

Thanks for any input, any pics of current setups would be much appreciated!

I wouldnt use any of those holes for CL. I would use the two 1.5" drains as drains, and use the two 1" holes as backups. Put a piece of PVC in them so they create a standpipe which comes just above the water level in the overflow. This way if you ever have a problem with the drains you wont have a disaster Then have the returns over the back of the tank (you can put them through the OM and or seaswirl/wavyseas if you'd like)

If you want to do the CL, get the tank drilled for an additional two holes in the back of the tank, maybe 2" each. You can run the OM and/or wavyseas on this as well, or not. You can run the returns of the CL over the top or drill additional holes for them.

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

If you do try and use some of the drains for a CL, you will have a micro bubbles problem, and pump cavation problem.

If you can not get the tank drilled for a proper CL, consider a over the top pipe.
I have one on my tank the goes to a Poseidon pump with sea-swirl returns.
