Reeflo Gold series pumps - how much better?

The new Gold series by Reeflo look pretty interesting.

I need to buy three pumps:
1. Sump return. For the sump return, I would like about 2,800 gph +/-, so after head loss a Dart or Dart Gold should be perfect.
2. Oceans Motions powered Closed Loop #1. This one needs to be a Dart, Dart Gold, or Super Dart Gold
3. Oceans Motions powered Closed Loop #2. For this one I need something a bit smaller, like a Barracuda or Barracuda Gold.

This is going to be in my living room on a 360 gallon sps tank, so high flow and low noise is key.

For the benefit of all, I've seen the following prices and specs :
Dart 3600 gph 145 watts for $199-229
Dart Gold 3800 gph 130 watts for $370
Super Dart Gold 4300 gph 165 watts $431
Barracuda 4300 gph 225 watts for $299
Barracuda Gold 4580 gph 237 watts for $494

Are the Gold pumps really quieter and more efficient? Other than price are there any downsides? It seems like 2 Dart Golds and one Super Dart Gold would be the way to go. The Super Dart Golds appear much better suited for closed loops than the Barracudas.

Last question: Are the Super Dart Golds going to be quieter than a regular Dart? How about compared to a Barracuda?

Thanks,

Los

Ooops. Bad job in the description. Pump for closed loop #2 should be MORE powerful (i.e. Super Dart Gold, Barracuda, or Barracuda Gold). Can anyone comment on the relative merits of the Gold series?
Thanks in advance,

Los

i believe that the gold series uses a super quiet, cool running baldor motor... in stead of the standard a.o. smith.

Big difference is that the Gold series is made in the USA. They appear to be the SW series that was offered prior to the Reeflo line.

I thought the entire Sequence line was manufactured at their plant in Colorado Springs?

I use one of these types of pumps for my CL/chiller. I am not familiar with the term Gold Series, I believe mine is the series 1000? Regardless, it is the Baldor motor and the housing is aluminum rather than the normal steel (or whatever metal) the reeflo series is made of.

Anyhow, they are great pumps and worth the extra money in my opinion. I cant hear mine under the stand and due to the aluminum housing, it is much cooler. Additionally, it runs on les energy. Not sure on wattage, but I know that the 5800gph runs on 1.6 amps.

If wea re talking about the same ones, well worth it.
