Killing Aiptasia and Cyano
My cousin has lost interest in the aquarium hobby and would like to sell his stuff. I'm interested in buying all of his LR (10g tank) and making a giant pod pile in my sump. However, his rock is completely covered with cyanobacteria and aiptasia anemones. I'm thinking about just nuking it by leaving it out of water, under a bucket, and just pouring boiling water over it every couple days. However, I don't want to have to re-cure it before I add it to my tank. How can I kill everything without having to cure it?

Killing things = die off
You cure rock because of die off. I don't see a way around it. |

Is there a way I can kill EVERYTHING in it? So I can just have dead rock?
If so, I could just wash it in RO for a few days and then add it. |
