long tentacle half dead?

i newly bought a green long tent. plate coral which has been doing great for about a week. till i noticed only haly of meat is opening. i noticed a tear in part of the meat where the skelaton ripped tru. could this be why this is happening? or due to somethin fallin on it? a clown goby sometimes hosts it its under a 250watt 14k in the sand with moderate current. please help does this mean its dien off? all info will help

What is your calcium level?

levels at 450 for calcium. what would cause it to tear thru?

Unfortunately LT plates tend to fair poorly in captivity and what you are experiencing is quite common with them.

Calcium is good, sorry that was mu only thought. Hang in there, I am battling with a favia brain coral myself. I know, it is heart breaking.
