idea good or bad?
So i had an idea yesterday,Uh Oh.... I began thinking about my 75gallon tank that i am currently getting ready for that was going to be a mixed reef and an upgrade from my 29gallon. I have all the equiptment for the 75 except the other light which was going to be an 150watt ocean light. My skimmer is an euro reef rs80,2 tunze 6025 powerheads,20gallon sump.... 20gallon sump..20gallon display tank 100% sps with a 75gallon sump! As i begain thinking more and more into this idea im starting to like the idea better and better. For lighting on it i want something that is sleek, modern, less heat being exherted from it. I have heard great things about ati so i figured y not go with the 24" 4 bulb t-5 pendant. Any ways enough blabbering heres what i would do
20gallon drilled display tank wiith 75gallon sump 24" 4 bulb ati t-5 pendant 2 tunze 6025 nano streams euro reef rs80 protien skimmer bare bottom tank with a piece of starboard that is eventually going to be covered in coraline 2 little fishes phosphobian reactor dosing b-ionic 2 part as well as magnesium running zeovit maybe 2 pieces of liverock with drilled holes in them for frags middle an open space to put acros reefkeeper 2 controller what do you guys think about think about this setup? do you think this is a stupid thing to do or do you think that this could actually be pretty successful? in my 29 i have a valdia frag that has grown and colored up nicely,a nobilis colony that is growing like a weed, and a lorpies colonly that is growing nicely. any suggestions would be great. |

It certainly will be successful, For a while I had a 90 gallon fuge, and a 60 gallon sump for a 55 gallon display while i was building my 210 gallon display and it flourished to say the least. good luck

yes should be good. i used odyssea 760 watt metal halide/compact actinic on my tank and it works great. sleek and modern and about $360 on aquatraders. needs a couple extra fans during summer, but i like it a lot.
