Help with Koralias
I have two Koralia 2 PH in my 55. I have been cleaning them about once a week( i have a phos problem). The problem I am having is they seem to get louder and louder. They were both pretty quiet when i first got them. Is there something I can do to make them quiet again? Am I missing something when I put them back together? Thanks for any help.

Make sure the end off the shaft is in the cover slot for it.

I don't understand why you are cleaning them out every week.
I have a feeling that you have cleaned off all the lubricant on the turbo magnetic shaft.

flow for you 55 gal should be between 1100 and 2200 gph
you are getting 1200 so you are in the acceptable range mushrooms do not like flow directed at them and the Korilias flow fans out from the centre of the bump like a sound wave. Put you hand in the tank and see how far the fan has spread out at the mushrooms and adjust the postion of the pump slightly

Could be, I run 2's and 3 1's in my 120, the 3's blew my softies around to much, and I have them on an Ocean Pulse wave maker, 2min intervals.

make sure that the little washer is still inside the motor part where the magnet goes into.
the washers nipple should be facing up. as far as lubing those things, i dunno what would work. jeez it would have to be something nontoxic and water proof, maybe silicone spray of some sort. thats a tough question more info needs to be found before lubing one of those.
