sump/fuge?
I am planning on putting a sump/fuge underneath my tank. What type of sand should I use in the fuge and how many inches? Does my sump/fuge also need to go through a cycle? I was going to put some of my live rock from the display into the fuge.

no it wont go through a cycle unless their is dyeoff on rock, which if its out of the main tank only for a few seconds shouldnt affect anything.
i would use oolitic arrgonite sand. 5-7 inches deep, thats just a guess from reading others posts, but others will chime in on depth.

IMO 6"-8" is a nice sand bed for a fuge.
