Bite Take Out Of Toadstool Help Plz

ok so i woke up this morning and found that my brand new toadstool has a piece of flesh missing at the base of him..........i was wondering if you guys could help me figure out who did it.........

the only things i have put in the tank are

2 purple sea urchins.........
clown fish
sea whip
zoas on the otherside of the tank......

I think it is the sea urchins because last night i pulled one off of him.........

Is my toadstool going to make it?

Is it the sea urchins or some other creature i cant see?

Your toadstool should make it, if that area doesn't become infected. Some animals will bore a hole into the side of the coral to use it as their new home. What you've described, livestock-wise, does not sound like any likely candidates.

Keep an eye on it for now.

thanks melev..........when i turned on the lights this morning alot of lil orgainsms moved away from it but nothing looked big enough to do this kind of damage..........what could it be?

how do i keep it from getting infected?........

the wound looks more like a dog bit in a human leg so to speak then a bore hole

A crab would be a likely candidate.

The area can heal on its own. Since it is a leather, then tend to slime rather heavily and I don't know if you could get away with capping the hole with some type of reef putty or not. It might burn the coral (chemically or due to heat)... Let us know how it looks again later today or tomorrow.
