Pump Choice for ATO

This weekend we will be setting up an RO/DI and Saltwater holding section in our basement. I have all that planned out but am wondering what pump to go with for ATO duty.

The storage containers are in our basement with the tank being directly above them on the first floor.

I will need a pump that can get the water up approx 12" to the tank (9ft ceiling plus up and over the sump wall) yet not have tons of flow since it is only for ATO and should the float switch fail, this unit will stop after 3 mins of pumping -- so as little as possible will overfill.

I do 8 ft up and 32 feet horizontal with a Mag7. Comes out pretty slow at the end. I do believe that I could and probably should have gone with a Mag9 since I burned through one Mag7 in 6 months. Could've been a bad pump. It was guaranteed so no big deal replacing it.

I have the same set up. I use a litermeter from sprectrum pure. The flow goes from the pump which draws from my RO/DI tank to the sump via a Deltec Kalk Stirrer. Works great.

That is a controllable dosing pump, right?

If so, I just need a plain ol pump since I will be utilizing my JBJ ATO
