ATB vs KZ
Okay so the conicals are here and the results are impressive.
I'd like anyone with experience with either ATB or KZ skimmers to chime in here and share their experiences. I'm leaning towards ATB. Primarily because as a consumer I'd like to get a finished product for two grand. It seems the KZ folks are doing a lot of DIY'ing/modding from what I've seen. I could be wrong there, so please correct me . Thanks in advance for your input. Be nice to hear about the Larger sizes as well. Thanks in Adavance for your input! Kris |

Why don't you just get a Bubble King? (looking at you current tank specs)

Seriously though I am awaiting my ATB. I looked at it as the best of a BK, combined with the best of a KZ.

I have a BK-250 ext . Works like a champ. I have no complaints whatsoever, best piece of equipment I've ever owned.
I think I will surpass its ability to handle my 400 based on planned bioload. I'm always intrigued by new technology hence the thread. I'd also prefer humor in that line of my sig, I wrote that just after writing the check for my BK last year. |

well even if performance were equal, I don't think anyone can match ATB USA customer service

Chad,
I am really sorry that your friends skimmer broke but that was out of my control. Leave that to the guys in brown. His new skimmer went out today though. |

I think KZ is meant to be a plankton friendly skimmer and use a venturi doesn't it?
I think mesh wheel skimmer takes out more which most people prefer! |
