Gen X 40 Mak 4 pump.....
Can I put a ball valve on the 3/4" return from this pump...will it affect its performance????

It depend. Whaat are you trying to do with the ball valve? Are you getting too much output from your pump for your overflows?

I think I will....(haven't set up yet). I know you can squeeze about 600< gph per 3/4" return x2 1200 with a good drain system. The one I have has small holes drilled randomly around the drain 1" pvc. Looks like a PVC cane....goes right up to the top of the megaflow. Is the draining affected at all by this set up or the flow is always the same no matter how it is set up??? newbie question

gen x pcx 40 puts out 1190 gph and at 3.3'@1140. One more question...do I have to drill the side of the 30 gallon glass sump (straight pvc connection to the pump) or can I create a couple of elbows and go over the edge of the glass????
