Looking to replace my lamps

Hey all-

I will need to replace my lamps soon and looking for suggestions -opinions. I'm looking for a bright white 150 watt hqi with no yellow and limited blue. I'm thinking either the 10,000k XM or a 14,000k of some type. I'd love to hear suggestions better yet see pictures of what the bulb looks like.

TIA ~Dee~

14k is gonna be to blue if you are looking for a white light. I am running the reeflux 12k and they are perfect for me give me that white light with a hint of blue I will try and get some pics up tonight If I get a chance.

I have an XM in 10K, albeit in the 175W mogul base and not HQI, and although it is white, it also tends toward the yellow side of white towards the bottom of the tank (17" deep). Also very yellow when it first comes up and starts to warm up (though that only takes a few minutes).

Be careful about comparing Reeflux's 12K to XM's 10K and even two different manufacturers 14K bulbs could appear different. So much for standards, eh?

Dee, I've seen the phoenix 14K's and they look really nice to my eyes. Nice bright white with a decent blue hint to it.

Thanks so much for all the help. I've read all the stuff and looked at all the charts but I think you need to see them or at least get others opinions. So the pheonix 14k's seem to be the popular choice. How's your growth with them? I hope I'm not asking to much to see someone's pheonix if you've got a picture.

TIA ~Dee~
