Is my Coral dying?

Ok, I have a purple birdnest (hard coral) and when i woke up today. i found that my birdnest have fallen and it fell into the frogspawn.

I have picked it up and put it back in the original spot. 8 hours later, some part of the birdnest is white and some are in the original color.

Do you guys think it will make it? And do i need to cut the white part off? or just let it sit and maybe it will recover?

Thanks!!

let it go for a few days,it might recover. But if you start to see algae growing on the dead spots clip those branches off.

Dont think it all died but 2 corals stressed will sting each other. The biggest question is why the other coral wasnt secure. Do you glue and or epoxy them down if they dont have a foot.

I had a purple cap fall into my anemone about 2 weeks ago...put it back, it whitened for a few days, but now it is back to normal and looking good!

the birdnest might have taken a few licks from the frogspawn--but if it touched the frogspawn, then I am sure the frogspawn got a few bruises in the fight too.
The birdsnest is probably just stressed but if it fell on the frogspawn it is quite possible that the frogspawn wasn't able to use its stingers
